Kittens

back

Kittens were treated with pradofloxacin 2.5% oral suspension at different dosing schemes once daily for three weeks. The kittens were six weeks of age at study start 33.

Evaluations were performed to evaluate retinotoxicity and chondrotoxicity, another well-known effect of fluoroquinolone treatment in several animal species: Treatment related effects were not observed for any of the doses tested.

Veraflox® 2.5% oral suspension at 5 mg/kg body weight once daily demonstrated to be very safe in kittens, with a safety margin of up to 5 times the recommended dose.
